I'm an animal lover, just like many of you reading this. I feel powerless knowing that countless dogs and cats suffer under cruel and inhumane conditions. Appallingly, their number surpasses the resources available to help. 

Each day, we are confronted with stories of helpless animals enduring neglect, brutality, and unspeakable pain. It's out of control and it's not just heartbreaking; it's unacceptable. The scale of the issue is overwhelming and points to a broken system!  

Dogs and cats don't have a voice or a platform to fight for their rights. They rely on us to advocate for their welfare. It is our moral responsibility to fight the injustices these innocent animals face daily. There needs to be consequences! Careless and heartless people need to be held accountable for their actions!!  

So what can we do? How can we act? The answer lies in demanding stronger animal protection laws. These laws are the shield that guards animals from human cruelty. However, the current legislation falls drastically short of providing sufficient protections.

In Canada alone, the Humane Society estimates that approximately 10,000 puppy mills are currently in operation, housing around 300,000 breeding dogs at an average (Humane Society).

We need to push for a major change, one that firmly addresses enforcement, punishment, and preventative measures!!

A change that will enact stronger animal protection laws and save these innocent lives from cruelty and suffering.
