The SBTC has successfully effected through our lobbying campaign the introduction of CONNOR'S LAW in both the House of Representatives (H.R.3608) and the U.S. Senate (S. 2991). Multiple members of Congress just signed on as co-sponsors as of early March 2026, bringing the House bill up to 23 formal supporters.

We are now working with the T&I Committee to get CONNOR'S LAW expanded to the two-part original vision we released in the online petition at https://www.Change.org/ConnorsLaw and get the bill attached to the major Surface Transportation Reauthorization legislation, which has to pass in September 2026.

This is about highway safety.
