On April 5th, we launched this petition to restore New York’s “CLEAN” Bill of Adoptee Rights. We hoped to reach 1,000+ supporters by May 1st. (just before legislative sessions resume May 3rd). May 1st is eleven days away. But, thanks to you, 1,000+ have already come together! We celebrate this solidarity! We are extremely grateful for your comments. Anybody who reads them will know: Adoptee rights are on the right side of history! We think you’ll agree that, if we keep going, more will support our petition. So let’s keep going! Let’s keep sharing our initiative for new supporters! (Suggestion: people who keep discussing and re-sharing on social media have reported success!) Soon, we’ll update you on a (first) petition delivery to the Albany bill sponsors and others in the Assembly that we have contacted! We’ll remind them that potential “tweaks” being considered to the current bill are not solutions. We support the “CLEAN” reform that just a few in the Codes Committee took away last June. New York adoptees are entitled to “CLEAN” reform. ALL adoptees are entitled to “CLEAN” reform! Onward! Tim and Doris
