It’s also great to see that one London County, Middlesex, has come out publicly supporting the campaign.
Unfortunately we have yet to hear back from Swim England London Region who were contacted early this week. We were keen to share their response to the petition but unfortunately they have declined to comment (so far!).
As Swim England London Region do not appear to be engaging with these issues and there is evident strength of feeling, some of us thought it would be good to do a snap poll.
This will take less than 5 minutes and help us prepare a robust case for the London Mayor and the London Legacy Development Corporation.
The survey is to understand the preferences of the London competitive swimming community when it comes to venues for regional championships.
While it is completely anonymous the intention is for the aggregated data to be used to inform relevant bodies and ensure that they keep the swimming community in mind when making decisions.
Please share widely, we would especially like to hear from swimmers and parents/carers of swimmers as well as coaches or volunteers who get involved.
