A huge thank you to all our petition and survey supporters. The responses just keep coming which is fantastic. Without your backing we wouldn't be able to put pressure on those that make decisions that effect all those hardworking London region swimmers but also the coaches, volunteers and parents of swimmers that make galas happen. THANK YOU.

It was good to see a statement from Swim England, after our update last week, acknowledging the petition and a promise of ‘hoping to give all members an update shortly about future regional activities’. We were hoping that shortly would mean this week but no news yet.

Meanwhile we will be pressing forward and are making contact with the London Assembly to present our petition to the mayor and the London Legacy Development Corporation.

To help us prepare a robust case for the London Mayor and the London Legacy Development Corporation we would appreciate if you can respond to a snap poll (it’s anonymous and takes less than 5 minutes).

We would especially like to hear from swimmers, parents/carers of swimmers, volunteers and coaches.

We have had a huge response from the Middlesex swimming community but would love to hear from the other London region counties.

Please share widely. Thank you.

'LAC is an amazing pool and ought to be accessible to the next generation of swimmers. Hard to put a value on swimming in a pool which hosted the Olympics. 30 mins by bike means i will compete there. 2 hours by train, i won't bother.' anonymous swimmer
