Caelan Chastain was a former student at Hanford High School, he was intelligent, optimistic, caring, and respectful to everyone he met. On February 21, 2021 we lost Caelan to suicide. At graduation, schools set aside "empty seats” in honor of students who have passed away, the school has agreed to give him a seat, but refuse to announce his name or even let his family put a picture of Caelan on his seat. We are hoping to create a bigger public outreach with the petition.
