Like many communities, residents of North Haven cherish the tranquility, privacy, and safety that our town offers. However, recent developments have prompted significant concerns. Amazon is proposing a plan to use drones for product delivery in our area, similar to a service already underway in Richardson, TX. Unfortunately, residents in Richardson report increased noise pollution, invasions of privacy, and a general sense of unease due to these delivery drones hovering above their homes. Many there are saying "we can't live like this."

The allure of quick product delivery should not come at the cost of our community's well-being. As residents of North Haven and neighboring communities, we have the right to make decisions that protect our quality of life. The introduction of these drones without our approval or the ability to regulate them puts our community at risk of the same issues faced by those in Texas. It is crucial that we gain control over how, when, and if these drones should be used in our communities.
