However, it has become increasingly clear that the Florida Wildlife Commission (FWC) is not serving the interests of our environment. Currently, the governor has the power to appoint FWC members, resulting in a board that often lacks sufficient expertise and has conflicting interests when it comes to protecting our precious wildlife.

This system has led to decisions that do not prioritize conservation. For example, recent statistics from reputable sources show a decline in certain wildlife populations directly linked to policy decisions made by the appointed board.
