The Town is proposing to prohibit pets from coming to work, and Town premises. I currently bring my dog Hunter to work every day. He only stays for a half a day, we joke he is semi-retired and working part-time. It brings him such joy to see people in the building from employees to residents. There have been multiple people either sending messages, ask how Hunter is doing when they call the office, and stop by the office to see him.  He is most definitely a source of calming when things get stressful. Not allowing our pets will have a negative impact on the office and Hunters many friends!

Hunter has a heart condition so I value even more the time I spend with him. He is at the door waiting each day to "go to work".  This extra time with him is invaluable. Another co-worker in a different Town Building brings his dog to work and I know the people in that office also very much enjoy her company. She also keeps them calm and happy when days get stressful.

Please join me in trying to keep our pets at work which brings happiness to so many. If nothing else maybe a compromise can be agreed on. :)
