My name is Jennifer Hansen. I was born and raised in Omaha Nebraska. I was a resident there for 45 years. I relocated to Missouri to help get my life back. Growing up I suffered from abuse of all kinds from physical,mental,emotional and verbal abuse. I've been in many abusive relationships, raped, molested, beaten, left for dead, cheated on, lied to, used...etc. I have grown terrified of the human race. I have extreme trust issues. I've remained a loner for the last 8 years besides my husband and family. I even left my family back in Nebraska. I have two kids that talk to me one that don't. I have a grandson too. Alot of days and nights my husband is gone and when he's home he still remains gone but in his own world. I've leaned on helping many animals. I have two rescue potbelly pigs and one that was just given to me 6 years ago who is now disabled. My three potbellys and my two dogs are my only companions in my life. I suffer from 

• Depression
• Anxiety both public and social
• Anger
• Insomnia caused by PTSD
• Suicidal
• Bipolar
• Multiple identity disorder
• Thoughts of harming people who hurt me, children, my family or any animals in any way... Especially my animals or people that threaten to take my animals or tell me I have to rehome them or people pulling guns out on my puppy and deny them resources.

I've relocated 3 times in the last year. No matter where I go the towns are running me off because of my pigs. They say pigs are not classified as support animals. Since I've gotten my pigs I've had less suicide attempts and I've been able to maintain minimum damages to others. I've even been able to wean myself off certain medications and control my identity disorder and other illnesses. 

What I want to get out of winning this petition is the United States to approve and recognize potbelly pigs as a support animal just like dogs are and also give people like me the rights to keep our pigs and maintain a good stable fun-filled life I was meant to have before it was stolen from me at the age of three years old on up.. Pigs are smarter than dogs. They have unique personalities that make me smile, laugh, love, and live my life. Pigs are just as supportive as a dog. Mine love cuddling and playing in the mud and they love my attention just like I love theirs. I can't imagine life without Wilbur Bella and Dewey. Together we can add potbelly pigs to the Americas Most Wanted List. Live pigs, love pigs. Potbelly pigs are family NOT FOOD.
