This petition is to get Martin Shkreli unbanned from the Twitch streaming video platform. Martin Shkreli is an American entrepreneur and pharmaceutical executive. He is co-founder of the hedge fund MSMB Capital Management, co-founder and former chief executive officer (CEO) of the biotechnology firm Retrophin, and founder and former CEO of Turing Pharmaceuticals. As CEO of Turing, he made the moral decision to raise money for the research and development of medicines for rare diseases nobody else in the pharmaceutical industry cared about. He accomplished this goal by raising the price of a medication his company owned called Daraprim, a medication used to treat parasitic infections, to a level that created a national firestorm and debate about drug pricing. As a result, he suffered the bane of great animosity of those who did not care what his altruistic intentions really were. We are hopeful Martin will overcome the obstacles he is now facing in light of the Daraprim controversy and continue his work curing rare diseases. Martin is also a huge gamer and it is it plausible he may have been banned from Twitch because of the Daraprim Controversy; having not broken any of their policies. Please help Martin achieve this goal and sign this petition.
