Due to the exorbitant pricing of the repatriation ticket for the KL - MRU by Air Mauritius, we urge the government to really be more sensitive to the issue. We understand that Air Mauritius is our local airlines and that it needs revenue to survive, but by doubling the price of one ticket is just a fishy move. Emirates is ready to fly to Mauritius but the Government of Mauritius is preventing them as their air tickets are much more affordable compared to Air Mauritius. This is an obvious attempt for Air Mauritius to monopolise the air traffic movement in Mauritius as its survival depends on us. But we say NO to Exorbitantly priced tickets! Bring Emirates back! Stop being selfish! 85% of the passengers from KL to MRU are STUDENTS! Many students are also stuck here in Mauritius. Keep in mind that Malaysia has announced a communique that students are ALLOWED to ENTER the country! Think about their visa, their accommodation! Are you, (the government or Air Mauritius) gonna finance these? Stop running after money! Start running after your image and your duties!
