Currently we have no Emergency Veterinary Clinic in Chatham-Kent. If we have an animal emergency after hours we are told we must go to Windsor or London for emergency care. Unfortunately these clinics are overwhelmed providing this NEED so people are waiting HOURS to be seen by a Veterinarian, while watching their precious animal suffer in their arms. If these clinics are overbooked people are told they must go even further for care.

We need to speak out as a community and insist something be done. We have at least 11 Veterinary Clinics in Chatham Kent. I am writing this petition to ask that the clinics come together for the animals in our community. They can offer emergency care on a rotating basis. That would mean every 11 days, one Veterinarian is on call to handle emergencies that might occur after hours.
