Important Update:

As the special U.N. session on human rights violations by the Islamic Republic of Iran will be held on November 24th, this petition, along with signatures and comments of supporters, was submitted to the OHCHR (Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights). The submitted letter objected to the scarcity and slow-pace of impactful actions and policy changes and demanded more swift and pragmatic solutions to stop the human right crisis in Iran.

As this letter is being drafted, the Islamic Republic is committing genocide against its minority Kurdish population by using heavy artillery and chemical gas against unarmed civilians. To control worldwide backlash, the regime has been confiscating the bodies of victims as leverage pressuring families to acknowledge the false rhetoric and made-up scenarios in state-run media. Facing such intimidation and terror, families refrain from sending the bodies of loved ones to the morgue. The above picture shows how the family of nine-year-old Kian Pirfalak resorted to using blocks of ice to keep the body at home before taking it to the cemetery the next morning. Knowing the regime's tactics, during the funeral, Kian's mother bravely described how the regime's security forces killed Kian and injured his father. Still, the state media blamed terrorist groups, "emboldened by recent unrest," for Kian's death, a claim aiming to spread terror and vilify peaceful protesters.

As we work toward reachin 15,000 supporters, marking it one of the top-signed petitions on Change.org, we continue calling on more U.N. organizations and other concerned parties.

Please continue speaking up against human rights violations by Iran's regime and share this petition, so others join us in calls to Stop Killing Innocents in Iran.
