Yesterday was a huge success. We had an amazing turnout at the hearing. The senators all listened very carefully and asked thoughtful questions. Senator Chambers promised to hold the Nebraska Department of Agriculture, particularly Greg Ibach, accountable for the suffering that is taking place in Nebraska puppy mills under his watch. While his appointment is likely to be confirmed by the full legislature, we sent a strong message that we will not allow this issue to continue to be swept under the rug. The Lincoln Journal Star published a thoughtful article and is now asking for comments on their Facebook page.
