Tetris Friends is the only way to enjoyably play Tetris on the web. 
Without it, most people will will have to resort to the lesser web version on tetris.com, or even the new Tetris 99 version on the Switch, a console that most people don't have access to, partly due to the fact that they may only be using it for Tetris alone.
