Save Langley's Record Shop (West Molesey, UK)

Save Langley's Record Shop (West Molesey, UK)
The Issue
Call upon Elmbridge Borough Council to reject the current planning application and seek to preserve one of the few remaining bastions of authentic UK pop culture! Langley's Records has been going since 1962 and in its current premises since 1972. Geoff Langley, 79, has seen over five decades of musical genres come and go and still thrives on the enjoyment of running his shop. It is a local institution, treasured by many loyal and new customers - people also travel from miles around, in some cases overseas, to visit this beloved music mecca and spend hours hunting through the huge stock of records. This unique shop is now in real danger of being shut down, purely to make way for a Royal Mail customer service point and some doors. This would be a devastating loss not only for Mr Langley and his customers, but also for British musical heritage. We can't just stand by and watch this happen. Please support this petition.
