Please can you help save the historically important Heatherbank House and Garden, Weybridge, Surrey from demolition by objecting the planning application. This internationally important historic house and garden, (renamed Heath House/Heatherbank) is the former home of George Fergusson Wilson F.R.S. the founder of the world-renowned RHS Wisley.

Heath House/Heatherbank and garden is the very foundation and origin of RHS Wisley. We cannot stress how important this site is to be preserved for future generations and the ongoing scientific education research carried out at the RHS .

RHS statement:- "George Fergusson and his garden at Heatherbank are of great significance to the history of gardening and contributed in no small way to horticulture as we know it today"

"The RHS is keen that Heatherbank should be listed and protected as a site of historical importance".

There has been a planning application lodged at Elmbridge Borough Council, planning app number 2021/3349, to demolish this historic house and erect 26 flats. The house itself is believed to be the work of both of the great Victorian architects Sir Matthew Digby Wyatt and Sir George Gilbert Scott working together.

Any development will disturb this valuable 156 year old biodiversity habitat and compromise the trees needing up to 150ft root protection.

This preservation is also supported by The RHS, The RSA, The Victorian Society, SAVE Britain's Heritage and The Weybridge Society. We thank these esteemed organisations for working incredibly hard for this cause.
