Thanks very much for signing the petition. Change.org say that only 15% of petitions get over 50 votes, so getting there in a day shows the strength of feeling and the recognition of the need to prevent this happening again. For me the video on the BBC site that I've included was the spur - a sweet girl lost and a grandfather that loved her like a father (usually) does. A man that has lost his wife (on the first day of the trial), his daughter (disowned) and granddaughter despite trying to do the right thing.
My concern is that this gets forgotten about as time moves on and the news headlines move on. Until the next time, which is what I want to prevent. I'll try to remind you every so often but if you can share/re-share/tweet/email your contacts about it that would be much appreciated to keep the petition growing. I'd rather it had its own momentum, there can't be many people that can't see that something went badly wrong and that things must be improved for other children. A public enquiry is needed.
Thanks again, any help you can give is appreciated.
Clive
