The Issue

The failure to secure Federal grant funding for this bridge should not lead to Westchester and Rockland residents footing the bill through high tolls.  This bridge is the responsibility of the entire region and must be treated as such.

I understand your concerns and appreciate you taking the time to write to me. I will continue to advocate that the current toll of $5.00 remains in place. Local residents should not carry the financial burden of the new bridge. Rather, those costs should be incorporated in the statewide transportation budget.
