People who know what is happening to the wild horses and burros need help! We need to reach more people. We need the public to find out what is happening because if they knew, they would not allow what is planned.

Please help us raise awareness about the Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM’s) plan to ship 100 burros to Guatemala as a pilot program that would open the gates for many more of our horses and burros to be shipped to other countries.

When Jane Velez-Mitchell (JVM) runs a story, people listen! In the summer of 2013 JVM aired the shelter story on HLN News and in no doubt contributed to the BLM’s repsponse to the public outcry with a big show of a “town-hall” type meeting in Reno, Nevada.  Sadly after the “show” not much has happened to ease the suffering of the horses and burros in holding.

Ellen DeGeneres often highlights youth who are doing amazing things on her show; similarly to JVM when Ellen talks, people listen! These kids have been raising awareness for years and having a national media platform could boost the issue into the realm of “we need to deal with this” instead of the “sweep comments under the rug and continue business as usual” approach from the BLM.

Sadly, after much propaganda and many press releases from the BLM, the majority of captive horses and burros suffer without adequate shelter and now they plan to send our living legends away to other countries. When America knows, they act. I think in this case they just don’t know all the horrible things happening to our wild ones and that’s where Jane Velez-Mitchell and Ellen DeGeneres and YOU can help.
