As someone fervently dedicated to learning, I have grown increasingly concerned about the role of iReady in education. iReady, an online program used by many educational institutions, is established with the aim of facilitating learning. However, it simply does not meet such expectations in terms of promoting effective, individualized instruction. Instead of encouraging personalized, engaging, and insightful learning, I have personally found it to be a hindrance to my own learning journey.

Studies confirm that the learning experience is most beneficial when it is tailored to the learner's unique styles and needs, a feature deficient in iReady's design. Moreover, the National Education Policy Center highlights that automated, online learning programs like iReady lack the personalized feedback necessary for students' improvement and understanding.

This petition aims not to blame iReady, but rather to redirect our system's focus upon truly effective learning tools, methods, and policies. Enhancing our education system should always be a priority, which is why we need to critically assess the tools and programs we use.
