Eliminate Fluoride from Fulton County's Water Treatment Process

The Issue

Fluoride has been a common additive in the water treatment process for many years. However, there is growing concern among residents of Fulton County, GA about its potential health impacts. Fluoride is often added to public water supplies to prevent tooth decay, studies have shown that excessive intake can lead to a variety of health issues such as dental fluorosis and potential neurotoxic effects (source: National Research Council). Other studies show that any amount of fluoride is toxic to humans (and animals). Furthermore, many developed countries do not fluoridate their water and still maintain low rates of tooth decay (source: World Health Organization). Therefore, we urge the relevant authorities in Fulton County to reconsider the use of fluoride in our water supply. Please sign this petition if you support a fluoride-free future for our community.
