Board of Health motion passes unanimously! But we're not done!

This past Monday, Aug 24, City of Hamilton's Board of Health unanimously passed a motion calling on the federal government to take all steps necessary to compel CN Rail to electrify its urban shunting yard at Stuart Street.
For too long Canadian rail corporations have been laggards on the world stage, profiting massively while needlessly pumping carcinogenic diesel fumes into residential neighbourhoods, and this motion is a significatant indication that their neighbours are unwilling to accept the status quo.
Your support for this petition played a significant role in helping to pass the motion. Together we achieved over 250 signatoriess in just 2 weeks, during the busiest vacation time of the summer. This is a clear indicator of the level of grassroots support! Thank you so much!
But we're not done! We're going to continue to seek signatories and supporters to show the federal Liberal party that we demand action. So please keep sharing this petition and let's keep the numbers growing! And stay tuned for updates.
