Do not make donations through change. org website

It has been brought to my attention that one of our wonderful supporters has made a donation through this petition website - a donation that was not received by SHACC. I was unaware that donations could even be made through the petition website ... I have certainly not set that functionality up on the petition. There is the functionality on the website to pay to promote or advertise our campaign - but those funds don't go to us. They go to change.org directly. As we are a very micro-issue focused campaign, I see no need to promote our petition more widely than our local community of the Manly area - this can be achieved through word of mouth and facebook shares. If you do believe you have donated to the campaign via this website - please get in touch with me ASAP and let me know. I can attempt to help follow this up. Please note, this warning does NOT apply to donations made via direct debit or bank transfer to the Clontarf Community Forum - they are entirely separate and have actually been received by SHACC to fund our printing costs etc. You can contact me at: stopclosureheatonave@gmail.com
