Black Forest,  as a rural area, only has Broadband internet in a few spots. (Broadband is defined by the FCC as internet with speeds of 25 mbps download and 3 mbps upload.) Many residents in Black Forest have internet speeds that range from 1 mbps to 14 mbps.

 Last year two Colorado State Bills were passed to help make high speed broadband internet service in rural areas a reality. They are SB2 and HB1099 They create a fund to finance broadband internet service in rural areas. This fund is available to those who will create and provide Broadband service in rural areas. 

The undersigned are requesting that Broadband service be made available to all of the residents of Black Forest.
