Millions of Muslims celebrate Eid al Fitr and Eid al Adha every year. These two Holidays signify the end of the holy month of Ramadan in which people fast from dawn till dusk as well as the pilgrimage known as Hajj, respectively.

The Muslim students in our Carle Place community would benefit from being off from school on these days in order to observe the holiday with family and friends near and far. 

Due to the high academic and extra curricular demand in our community, students in the Carle Place school district are choosing not to observe the holiday in fear of decline in their performance.

Please sign the petition to show your support to have Eid al Fitr and Eid ul Adha as official Carle Place School District Holidays. Please also help by spreading the word and asking others in our community to sign!
