Since the deadline given by the local government is very near, we have notified the governor of South Sinai, Mr Khaled Fouda, and the Minister of Environment, Dr Yasmine Fouad, of the existence of this petition and have requested them to ask the local government to put the planned demolition on hold until further notice. We have asked both to look into the situation and to make an informed decision whether this demolition is in the best interest of all and if alternatives can be considered.

نظرًا لاقتراب الموعد النهائي الذي حددته الحكومة المحلية، فقد أبلغنا محافظ جنوب سيناء ، السيد خالد فودة ، ووزير البيئة ، الدكتورة ياسمين فؤاد ، بوجود هذه العريضة وطلبنا بقاء الوضع علي ما هو عليه حتي يتم البت في  العريضة . ولقد طلبنا من كلاهما النظر في الموقف واتخاذ قرار مستنير فيما إذا كان هذا الهدم في مصلحة الجميع وما إذا كان يمكن النظر في بدائل.
