Good Morning

This morning we hit 60,000+ signatures. THANKYOU

WHERE ARE WE?
WOW! What a day and it's only 9:44 am. This morning I had a meeting with Izzy's School and I was somewhat taken aback by the response. It's important to mention that this was never intended to be a direct attack on one individual school, the irony of it is that every other aspect of the school is fantastic.

'WE GOT IT WRONG' but we can learn from this...
I met with the Headteacher and outlined our concerns, but also offered some easy to implement solutions, and before I had time to finish the Headteacher said, (and I'm paraphrasing here) 'We got this one wrong.' Not only is it incredibly rare to see such open accountability but the school have taken an additional step and will be changing their current policy to reflect the individual needs of those who menstruate. There is still a huge way to go but I know we are moving in the right direction.

NEXT STEPS
Next week I will be meeting with our Local MP to discuss how we escalate the petition onto National Legislation Change.
We will also be brokering a meeting with the largest Multi-Academy Trust CEO to discuss how the revised policy can be rolled out across more schools in the region.

Thank you for sharing, thank you for signing and thank you for speaking out.
