Educational requirements change to make it more realistic for our children to graduate

Educational requirements change to make it more realistic for our children to graduate
The Issue
I would like to gain signatures to get the attention of the U.S department of education to change and lessen the requirements students should meet each year over school. I think classes like algebra and geometry, as well as more advanced classes in other areas should be optional as it was many years ago or should be more basic and easier. The work for students and expectations get harder every year and I truly feel they should be a little easier and stay that way as the harder things get for children in school leads to failing grades, drop out's, and pressure to cheat just to pass the work so they can achieve graduation. I think it is unfair and wrong to put so much pressure and so many high standard expectations on todays youth to achieve an meet their academic goals which can then negatively alter their life. I am hoping many others agree and will help support this petition to try and change things and make it better and easier for today's and future children as well to reach their goals. The education being this difficult of a standard can lead to so many negative outcomes I would like everyone to consider such as low graduation rates, less good jobs for those who don't obtain diploma's, Families not making enough money due to lack of ability to obtain decent paying jobs that need diploma's that were not able to be gained by students, and poverty rate will increase due to these reasons. children will fail because of the tough curriculum's and develop mental illnesses as well such as depression from feeling like failure, low self esteem thinking they aren't smart enough, and stress/anxiety or mental exhaustion from trying to over exert themselves just to pass and meet these high expectations and classes. Everyone in the US can be effected by this issue because the more children who do not graduate means less citizens to work so many of our important jobs that we value and need, this will also cause our government more money due to these children growing up to need government assistance and benefits to support themselves and survive. The importance of immediate action on this cause is the longer it takes for change the more at risk we are for facing all of these negative effects and the more children each year are not passing or graduating. We need to take this matter serious and act upon it as quickly as we can.
