Postponing of NEET UG 2020 Until COVID-19 Cases Stop Rising

The Issue

Will the suffering of class of 2020 ever end?

Throughout the world, class of 2020, has been empathised with, world leaders have come across to address us. 2020 was supposed to be a great year of our lives. Moving into colleges, finishing our school, but we didn’t have any of those experiences yet.

Most of us will never experience a farewell or bid a formal goodbye to our friends and school and with all of this suffering, with the rise of Covid-19 cases everyday in India, there’s uncertainty, our loved ones are getting afflicted, and with this stress, some of us are still pressurised to continue studying for our entrance, which is NEET UG 2020.

Education is supposed to be something that makes us aware, and helps us become better citizens but not something that takes a mental toll on us, giving exam in such a situation will be putting our lives in danger since community spread has started in states like Delhi And Maharashtra.

I and my peers are personally are unable to focus no matter how hard we try, when being happy is an effort then how are we supposed to be prepare for such a competitive exam and a humungous syllabus.

Cbse has alternatives, they can give us admissions on the basis of how we performed in our class 12 cbse board exams and if not that atleast, help us remove the july deadline,

Being the daughter of a healthcare worker, I am constantly worried about her, Parent’s of my peers are admitted in the hospital fighting for their life, with this we need to be atleast unburdened of this competitive exam which is supposed to help us getting admissions into medical colleges across India, which can be done on the basis of our result of board exams too.

So I’d request CBSE and Education Ministry of India either to delay the date of 26th July or cancel the exam altogether.
