Alief ISD Board President Ann Williams Protesting at Cy-Fair ISD's Board Meeting

If this isn’t the pot calling the kettle black. Alief ISD School Board President Annie Joseph Williams was at Cy-Fair ISD’s school board meeting this week, a school district which she does not work in nor live in, to protest Cy-Fair school board member Scott Henry. On a surface level this may not seem like such a big deal, but Alief ISD school board President Ann Williams needs to sweep around the proverbial front door of her own Alief ISD school district before traveling across Houston to throw rocks.

It is funny to me how “black folks” are so quick want to rally against someone of another color yet drag their feet or shun holding other “black folks” accountable. When I show up at Alief ISD school board meetings and represent myself as a black male, black educator, and parent of black children, IN THE DISTRICT WHICH I LIVE IN, PAY TAXES IN, A DISTRICT WHICH MY CHILDREN/CHILD CURRENLTY ATTENDS, AND MY FRINDS AND FAMILY WORK IN, my voice holds no weight, nor is my voice welcomed by the school board.

But somehow Alief School Board President Ann Williams feels that it is her duty to hold Cy-Fair ISD School Board Trustees accountable for the greater good of the black community, when she is and has continued to fail black students, black parents, and black employees here in Alief (check the Alief ISD Risk Load Assessment, and Equity Audit).

In fact, I was publicly attacked by Alief school board Trustee Jennifer Key, in her official capacity, during the Alief ISD October 15, 2019, board meeting, for exercising my ‘Ann William rights” at the Alief ISD school board meetings, and within the district.
