Edmonton Public School Board will vote on changing name of Dan Knott School at the next meeting on September 8, 2020.  Our goal is to have 10,000 signatures to present to the board on that day.  Please help us reach our goal!

“I wanted to start this petition because it didn’t sit well in my stomach knowing  the history of the name. This journey has been so life changing for me, seeing all these people support my petition.  There has definitely been struggles from people who don’t agree with it but I just have to block it out. I’m overall so grateful for everyone who has supported this.

On September 8th there is going to be the school board meeting where we are going to present our petition to change the name of Dan Knott School.  At this time we have 6,900 signatures and would love to get as many as possible before the 8th.

We just wanted to check in and update you guys about what’s happening. So thank you again for your support and I can’t wait for the near future when the name is changed! “
