Hi Yost Pool fans,
I have shared the results of this petition, which include the supporters on this website plus 150 people who signed the paper petition at Yost Pool. I shared the results with Shannon Burley, the Interim Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Edmonds.
Despite this interest, there is no plan for the City of Edmonds nor the YMCA to invest additional resources to extend the pool calendar due to managerial, political, financial, and logistical challenges.
I would encourage everyone to use the pool frequently since the usage is tracked, to reach out to Edmonds mayoral candidates and city council representatives as well as the management of the YMCA and the Edmonds School District athletics department.
