It is really disappointing to know that he still will not be able to make Full Day Kindergartner in Edison, NJ this year. We will continue to focus on our fight for petition request and meeting him in person to get an update from his side on Friday, January 23rd at 9:00 am , Location: 312 Pierson Avenue, Edison, NJ 08837. Please bring all your questions, concerns and request and everyone will get a chance to talk to Superintendent Dr. Richard O'Malley. We elect board and board select Superintendent to deliver the success in the Education field in our Edison township. This petition was started few month ago and Edison Education Board office requested that. Since all the previous years request were through phone calls and verbal format so i have decide to make it documented, open for public so everyone can vote and support this petition. Full day kindergartner program request was made last year as well and Dr. Richard O'Malley gave the same comments about space, budget, staffing etc when they were unable to support a full day kindergartner program in Edison. We are at the same point again after one year and it is a clear message of failure from Superintendent and Edison Education Board side. Superintendent Dr. Richard O'Malley is a great person and he might would have done nice job so far but it is failure from his side not to support our request. For Friday January 23rd meeting, I have requested Dr. Richard O'Malley to talk more about the things which was done to support full day kindergartner and we also need to hear what he will be doing between now and till September to support full day kindergartner program in Edison. If we wont get a positive response and if we wont get satisfactory answers to our questions, it will be time to ask Edison Education board on January 26th at 7:00 pm to replace a new Superintendent who might will have a batter vision and can do attitude for the public request which can be satisfied after several years. Poor performance and failure to support this request will case a major damage on small kids early childhood education and we can not see that happening again and again. It will be great to meet you in person to get an update on the Full Day Kindergarten program in Edison Township. If you are available next week in the morning at around 9AM on any day should be fine from our side. I will try to see if couple of parents can join this meeting , since this is a public request and if few parents can represent the supporters who did sign the petition then that will be great for both the side We have been requesting to have a full day kindergarten program in Edison since last few years now. During last few years we do hear issues regarding limited physical space, budget, staffing etc and those are not new issues to you and us. Last year also when parents came and knock the door at the Edison Education board meeting, same old issues were discuss and nothing was done to support Full Day Kindergartner program in our township. Edison residents are losing trust and faith in current Edison Education board and team. We can talk and discuss about issues + obstacles all the day but we have reached at the stage where we would like to know, what you have done to resolve those issues to deliver a Full Day Kindergartner program. It is very important for all of us to start full day kindergartner program in Edison township. Every single person faces some issues and obstacles at their jobs and only few successful people can overcome those issues to deliver something promising and that is what we are expecting from you. If we don't do anything for the issues what we are facing to complete the job than those issues will remain there forever and general residents and their kids will suffer for long and we are at that stage where we have been without full day kindergarten program in Edison for quit few years now. We are counting on you and will be happy to hear some positive good news regarding this item from your side when we will meet next week. Enrollment for Kindergartner will start from next month and so many Edison residents and parents are waiting to hear an outcome of this petition so my humble request to you is to help us and resolve all issues as soon as you can and make a public announcement to start a Full day Kindergartner in Edison staring from September 2015. I will tell you upfront that that there will not be full day kindergarten in the 2015-2016 school year. I am more than willing to meet with your group and have this discussion, but this issue is beyond just overcoming obstacles. I can meet next Friday, January 23rd at 9:00 am. Please let me know.
