“at least 50 dogs between 3pm and 4pm, with a number of these off lead and running around”

Another claim by us, with "no evidence" as suggested by the counter petition?

No - the observations of an Edinburgh Council Officer in Warriston Cemetery on the 31st of December 2021, and reported in the Cemetery Management Rules Report presented at Edinburgh Council's Culture & Communities Committee meeting on the 1st February 2022.

Don't believe us? - go read it yourself, Section 4.9:  https://t.ly/LKgVh

Just imagine that...50 dogs in one hour. It makes Paul's claim of seeing up to a 100 dogs in Morningside Cemetery in one day appear perfectly plausible...and that is being repeated in cemeteries right across Edinburgh.

There is absolutely no way this can be explained as anything else but selfish, irresponsible dog owners feeling it is their entitled right to use Edinburgh's cemeteries as glorified, local, dog exercise yards, disrespecting those resting their and their bereaved families, rather than more appropriate green spaces a short walk away.

It is still happening in 2024, two and a half years later. Here is another photo showing a member of the public with a dog off the lead in Morningside Cemetery, and how that infringes (4 times!) on the trial Cemetery Management Rules displayed on eight signs throughout the cemetery, including the North gate, which is mere feet away from where this individual is standing.
