For 28 years the city of Bethlehem has been a community participant of TREE CITY USA (arbor.org). The Edgeboro Neighborhood, located in the northside of the city, is a community that cherishes their trees. In fact, our streets are named after tree species; ie. Sycamore, Maple, Elm, Chestnut...).  We, the residents of Edgeboro and outlying streets are in a neighborhood that defines itself by the leafy shade  trees in our community. WE, the undersigned, are united in preserving these trees which filter the air we breathe, absorb storm run off, provide shade, remove carbon dioxide from the air, and offer homes for birds and wildlife, as well as increased property value.  We are against removing these trees that we love and nurture and we want the city of Bethlehem to STOP ACTION NOW in their current course of removal plans.
