I think the personal use of fireworks should be banned. And only allowed in organised displays. People should not handle them at home but rather go to professional firework displays where they would receive the same amount of joy and entertainment (maybe even more)! The cons of fireworks really outweigh the pros.

Cons: 

They are very dangerous 

They LITERALLY terrorise our pets 

They are bad for the environment 

They leave behind rubbish

They're noisy

They disrupt our neighbours 

They put a lot of people in distress! (EG elderly, children, former veterans or anyone with PTSD, and people who don’t like loud noises!!) 

Pros

Pretty lights for 10 seconds.
