As you may know, landfills have a devastating affect on the environment.  Every day, marine life are eating straws for lunch.  Landfills are filled with so many toxic chemicals that they actually produce methane gases.  By taking after the Germans (and other European nations) and by recycling more, America can save money by not always producing more plastic.  Reusing plastic by recycling is both financially and medically beneficial.
I was informed that many apartment complexes have a giant dumpster but a very small recycling bin.  These complexes, such as Washington Complex, should have have a bigger recycling bin.  They should also be able to accept plastic, cardboard, paper, and Styrofoam.
