To seek to reverse the decision of Labour MPs to vote Dennis Skinner off Labour's National Executive Committee.

Dennis Skinner is a trusted figurehead of socialism within the Labour Party. His integrity, consistency and honesty are, without doubt, a reassurance to a disaffected electorate which increasingly feels isolated from the political process and thus inclined to abstain from voting, or worse still, vote for 'something new'. The deselection of Dennis Skinner will be seen by many, as proof that the Labour Party is moving further to the right and is determined to fight the next general election on the Tories' terms by offering similar solutions of austerity and privatisation, when evidence suggests that the electorate is ready to support a bold, socialist agenda.
Voters are crying out for a party ready to oversee a redistribution of wealth, fairer taxes, an end to austerity, more affordable housing and renationalised utilities and transport. Dennis Skinner is seen by many to be a champion of these socialist ideals and is too valuable an asset to be sidelined, particularly in an election year, when his outspoken style is certain to resonate with a public discontented with many politicians who increasingly are viewed as being out of touch and in politics for themselves rather than to serve the public.
This petition requests that all necessary steps are taken to reinstate Dennis Skinner on the National Executive Committee of the Labour Party immediately.
