Inhumane Treatment Of Dogs: Ending Puppy Mills

The Issue

Problem
It is estimated that over 2 million puppies are bred at puppy mills each year and then sold to other facilities. The majority of these puppies are born with birth defects, abnormalities, and diseases. Puppy mills are large-scale, commercial breeding facilities, with the sole purpose of making profit. Puppy mills put profit before the health and care of their dogs. Puppy mill dogs are often kept in small cages with little to no room for movement. The breeding females are forced upon an interminable loop of breeding until they can no longer produce puppies, they are then often killed. Puppies are often malnourished and receive contaminated food and water. The treatment of dogs in puppy mills is inhumane and something needs to be done about it.

Solution
By signing this petition, you are not only advocating for the helpless puppies, locked in small, cramped glass boxes at your local pet store, but also for the millions more that never even make it that far. You are advocating for all of the puppies that have died, all of the dogs that have been bred to death, and all of the puppies who continue to be mistreated and abused. A law needs to be passed that protects the lives of these animals.
