WB Games Needs to Give PC a Chance
The Issue
The last few Warner Brothers games have been train wrecks for PC. Problems with framerates, lag, and the game not even starting have left many customers unsatisfied. However, there are still many customers who are satisfied. Gamers who do not own a console go to PC to play their favorite games, which can include popular titles such as Injustice: Gods Among Us, Mortal Kombat X, and Arkham Knight. Low framerates and other problems do not keep players from enjoying their games if the game is especially good. Mortal Kombat X is Warner Brothers' latest game that had left PC players in the dumps. The XL version of the game was only available on consoles, and the long waited Kombat Pack 2 was not given to PC players. The epic announcement of Kombat Pack 2 renewed Mortal Kombat X's relevance in the gaming community. Kombat Pack 2 added to the game two new guest characters, Leatherface and the Xenomorph, and two returning Mortal Kombat characters, Bo Rai Cho and Triborg (Cyrax, Sektor, Smoke, and Cyber Sub Zero). However, the trailer only showed the Xbox One and PS4 icons, and it was later officially announced that PC was not going to get Kombat Pack 2. This caused an outrage. To add salt to the wound, Warner Brothers released a trailer of an XL edition of Mortal Kombat X, which was also not made available to PC. The XL edition included a better net code of the game, balances to the characters, and stage fatalities. To not give PC players these additions to Mortal Kombat X is like spitting on beggar's feet. And that wasn't the only thing PC was denied-- sequel to the hit game "Injustice: Gods Among Us" has a good chance of being console exclusive. The trailer and announcement of DC fighting game "Injustice 2: Every Fight Defines You" were released recently on June 8, 2016. The game itself is to be released in 2017. However, only PS4 and Xbox One players were able to pre-order the game. This was even more outrageous than the exclusion of the XL edition of Mortal Kombat. The first Injustice game, released in 2013, was extremely popular. There is no doubt every fighting game fan was hyped by the trailer of the second Injustice game, which added a new gear mechanic. The graphics as shown in the trailer were near to live action. PC players were crushed to here that Injustice 2 will not come to PC. PC players deserve to be able to play amazing games by Warner Brothers, whether they will be as good as on consoles or not. It is better to have a laggy game than not to have it at all. Mortal Kombat XL and Injustice 2 were waited upon for a very long time, and it's unfair to PC players to not be given access to those games. I hope Warner Brothers will learn that us PC players want their games, no matter how low the framerates will be.
