URGENT: ECOCIDE & REPRESSION BY UN SECURITY COUNCIL MEMBER

On 31.07.2026, Kyrgyzstan — a new UN Security Council member — plans to host an illegal F1H2O powerboat race in Lake Issyk-Kul, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. This is state-sponsored ECOCIDE.

WHY THIS IS A CRIME:

1. VIOLATION OF NATIONAL LAW #115 "On Sustainable Development of the Issyk-Kul Eco-Economic System" (13.08.2004)

   Article 9: 1/3 of natural resources MUST remain an INVIOLABLE RESERVE to prevent ecosystem collapse.

   An ecosystem is a chain. Break one link, and the entire system collapses.

   F1H2O's 160dB noise + 2,293,740 KG of CO₂ breaks the chain:

   Water pollution → Microorganisms die → Fish disappear → Birds leave → The 2-million-year-old lake becomes a swamp. This is collapse.

Article 12: Issyk-Kul is a site of GLOBAL BIODIVERSITY. Endemic species MUST BE PROTECTED BY THE STATE. The state is instead enabling its destruction.

2. VIOLATION OF WATER CODE

   Articles 14 & 59: Pollution of water bodies is BANNED.

3. F1H2O ADMITS THE DAMAGE

   Official website h2oracing.net: The race emits 2,293,740 KG of CO₂ per event. This is poison for a closed mountain lake.

4. STATE REPRESSION

   Kyrgyz citizens protecting the lake are being threatened by the Ministry of Internal Affairs as "provocateurs". This violates Kyrgyz Constitution Art. 49 & 32 and the UN Declaration on Human Rights Defenders.

OUR DEMANDS:

1. UNESCO: Uphold your MAB Programme. Enforce Law #115. Stop F1H2O. Your silence makes you complicit.

2. UIM & UNEP: Choose E1 Series — zero emission. Why sponsor ecocide when clean alternatives exist?

3. KYRGYZ PROSECUTOR GENERAL: Prosecute violators of Law #115, Art. 9 & 12. The law is not optional.

Lake Issyk-Kul is a 2-million-year-old "Amanat" — a sacred heritage. 

Break one link, and all is lost for future generations.

A UN Security Council member cannot write a "new chapter in UN history" by breaking its own laws and destroying a UNESCO site.
