This is a petition asking eBay to expand its seller rules and take action against the growing scalping issue. By signing this petition you are asking eBay to stop the sale of more than 1 hard to get item per account that has either launched in the last 6 months or has not officially launched yet.

Hard to get items would include any items that cannot be easily obtained due to supply and demand imbalances such as graphics cards, CPUs, consoles, or other limited edition items like sneakers.

Once 6 months have passed after the release of said hard to get item it will then be allowed to be resold in quantities greater than 1 per account.

By implementing these new rules this will greatly alleviate the scalping issue that has been plaguing many industries and creating artificial supply issues exacerbating the already present supply and demand imbalances and harming the potential customers of these products. eBay has a chance to have a big positive impact by banning mass scalping on its platform, and it is in the best interest of the customers that this petitions requests are met.
