By signing this petition you agree that you are an Eau Claire, WI citizen in support of prioritized funding in this fiscal year to equip all Eau Claire police officers with Body-Worn Cameras.

Body-Worn Cameras protect both our police officers and the public by providing documentation of arrests and other incidents, serve as evidence in court cases, can be used for training and provide transparency and accountability for our community.

This request is both public and police department driven.

In addition to signing this petition, please consider providing your perspective in a brief testimony at the Eau Claire City Council meetings on June 8th and 22nd, 2020. The budget addendums required to fund Body-Worn Camera Systems for the next fiscal year are scheduled to be approved in July.

If you are not comfortable providing testimony, your presence at the meeting in support of those providing testimony is encouraged. The meetings may be held virtually. If not, please wear masks and observe social distancing.
