Eatons neck Fourth of July parade

Eatons neck Fourth of July parade
The Issue
Dear Fire Commissioners,
We hope this letter finds you well. As we approach another Fourth of July celebration, we, the residents of Eaton's Neck, are writing to express our strong support for the continuation of the tradition of allowing water at the parade.
The tradition of engaging in a friendly water battle has come to define this parade and has become an integral part of our community's 4th of Julyfestivities. It fosters a sense of camaraderie among participants and brings together residents of all ages in a fun and refreshing way, creating lasting memories for families, friends, and neighbors. From ambulances to fire trucks, emergency vehicles, and even dignitaries, everyone joins in the fun, further enhancing the sense of community and shared enjoyment.
As evidenced by the joyful and spirited atmosphere of the parade in years past, the water fun has become an integral part of our community's Fourth of July festivities. However, we understand the importance of safety considerations and believe that measures can be taken to ensure that this remains a safe event for all. One idea is to designate a "water section" in the beginning of the parade, providing the option for those wanting to participate in the water fun and those choosing to abstain from the water an opportunity to do so.
By upholding this cherished tradition, we not only preserve our community's long standing custom but also uphold the spirit of joy and celebration that defines the 4th of July in Eaton's Neck. We urge the Fire Commissioners to continue allowing the tradition of water at the Eaton's Neck 4th of JulyParade. Let us embrace this tradition with enthusiasm and ensure that future generations can experience the same sense of delight and togetherness that has enriched our community for years.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Eaton's Neck Residents
