Hello everyone!

Me again! I hope you aren't getting sick of all my updates... there is just so much exciting stuff I want to keep telling you about.

Firstly, I wanted to thank you all for your ongoing support! I have received even more emails this week from people who are being turned away from services for not being thin enough or are not heavy enough! It is a complete injustice and we need to work together to change this!

Secondly, on 2 April I am holding a photo call / drop in session in Parliament with MPs and Peers! It is so exciting that lots of MPs have confirmed their attendance.

If you would like to contact your MP directly to ask them to attend please do (using the template below).

Thank you!

Dear XXX,

I am writing to invite you to ask you to attend the Photo Drop In in support of the Dump The Scales Campaign which is campaigning to raise awareness of Eating Disorders, and to keep the measuring of BMI out of diagnoses of Eating Disorders. You will also have a chance to learn more Anorexia from campaign founder and survivor Hope Virgo.

Tuesday 2 April
Room U, PCH
1-2pm

Over a million people in the country have suffered from Eating Disorders at some point in their life, but many are not properly diagnosed because they are told by GPs that they are not underweight enough. This only makes the problem worse. We are calling on the government to implement NICE Guidelines around the diagnosis of Eating Disorders, and therefore to not measure the BMI of those seeking treatment.

In attendance will be founder of the campaign, author and survivor Hope Virgo. In her book, Stand Tall Little Girl, Hope recounted her experience of living with Anorexia, including a year in Hospital. This is a good opportunity to learn about Anorexia and Eating Disorders, as well as having a photo in support of the campaign.

The campaign has received a huge amount of public attention with over 70,000 signatures, as well as celebrity support, making headlines on Sky News, the BBC and Sunday Express. Come and show your support for a campaign that can save lives.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Yours Sincerely,
Hope
