Petition Summary and Background: In the November 7, 2017 Chester County Municipal Election, the two candidates receiving the most votes were elected to fill the two vacancies on the Easttown Board of Supervisors. Betsy Fadem (REP) received the most votes; Brandon Adams (DEM) received the second highest number of votes, and Michael Wacey (DEM) received the third highest number of votes (18 fewer than Brandon Adams). However, after Brandon Adam’s name was on the ballot, his employer was acquired by a company whose compliance policy prohibited him from holding the office of Township Supervisor.

Since Brandon Adams is unable to accept the position of Easttown Supervisor, we the undersigned petition the Easttown Board of Supervisors to appoint Michael Wacey (Dem), to the current vacancy on the Easttown Board of Supervisors. We are aware that the township by-laws allow the Supervisors to appoint a person of their choosing to this position.

We respectfully suggest that the course of action that best reflects the will of Easttown voters (1,396 of whom voted for Michael Wacey) is to appoint him to fill the vacancy on the Easttown Board of Supervisors created by the withdrawal of Brandon Adams.

Desired Action: Appoint Michael Wacey (DEM), to fill the vacancy on the Easttown Board of Supervisors created by the withdrawal of Brandon Adams (DEM) who was elected on Nov 7, 2017.
