Kassia clanfield live music nights have become a meeting point for locals and travellers in the local area , Due to a small number of complaints from residents who live above a Bar/restaurant the East Hants council are now looking to take away the Live music which is only on Weekends lasting no longer then 90 minutes.

EHDC early consultation document: the local plan part 3 states "Community facilities are the valued buildings, venues and meeting places that meet the day to day needs of the communities they serve."

I read that part of the EHDC plan will seek to create vibrant communities. Clanfield aspires to be a vibrant community and at the hub of this community is Kassia with its successful restaurant business, a joyful place to meet with friends and family in a great atmosphere. The  once/twice weekly music is a vital attribute to its success and removing this element could see the decline of a very community focused business

The NATIONAL PLANNING POLICY FRAMEWORK supports the protection of community facilities, to avoid their loss.

We are coping with a increased housing and population growth without the variety of facilities needed to create vibrancy, therefore we need more businesses like Kassia not less.

It will be a very sad day indeed, if the licence was revoked due to a minority view, therefore I hope common sense will prevail & the majority of the residents can continue to grow a vibrant community.Please help us and sign this petition and share!
