📣 WEEKEND PUSH — EAST WINDSOR, WE NEED YOUR VOICE

The CT Siting Council is still accepting public comments on Docket 492A Gravel Pit Solar Expansion, and we’re asking residents to speak up this weekend. The decision will come soon in March, and the Council needs to hear how this project affects our community.

Some key concerns that remain unanswered or unaddressed during the public hearing  include:

• Fire safety and emergency response

• Cumulative impacts on residents and the environment

• No creation of wildlife corridors for large animals, fragmenting their environment 

• No bonding or financial protections

• No assurance the land will ever return to farmland

• The developer attempting to label active farmland as “brownfields”

If these issues matter to you, please take two minutes to send a public comment.

Even if you sent an email for the motion to reopen, please send another to state you oppose the expansion and ask the council to deny it.
